About Bay Area Interventions

Bay Area Intervention was recently founded because of the need for an affordable intervention and aftercare in the bay area. It all started in 2003 when Doug Nunes began volunteering his time in treatment centers and detox centers.

Being a recovered alcoholic and overcoming several other addictions himself, Doug began working in helping others recover. He believed in family recovery and of diverse treatment options including coping skills around emotional balance. Doug began to receive several calls of family members desperate to get help for their loved ones. Doug began the process of learning and practicing a non-confrontational intervention process that lead to many successful recoveries. Doug would always learn from the failures and continued to work with the family members bringing hope, and serenity. Doug has worked with hundreds of alcoholics/addicts and has had great success in helping others achieve long term sobriety. Doug is also a skilled Life Coach and has helped many people get back on their feet while going through dramatic life events. He loves working with young people and helping them achieve their goals.
